Jane

Miss Jane is a 16 hand, 2014 off track bay Thoroughbred mare who had 10 starts in two years and had $59,110 in earnings. She had one foal in 2021, a colt by Commissioner. The foal was healthy but Jane ended up sustaining injury to her vulva during the birth which ended her broodmare career. Jane underwent two surgical procedures to repair the condition (Caslick’s surgery) that were not entirely successful, leaving her with a condition called windsucking where air ends up accumulating in the vagina and sometimes creates a ‘farting’ sound when the horse is in motion. Jane just finished a Retraining Racehorses class where she had 100 days under saddle with a University student. She is a nice mover, a sweet personality. She has a beautiful face with a big star and snip.
